I hold a Master of Science degree in Counseling from California State University, Los Angeles, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with sixteen years of clinical experience. That experience includes supervision of Marriage and Family Trainees and Interns. The main focus of my clinical practice has been in treating individuals and couples who struggle with love and sexual addiction, and addiction to internet pornography, as well as those who present with depression, anxiety, marital conflict, childhood trauma, and intimate partner violence. I am certified by the Los Angeles County Probation Department to facilitate groups of men and women who are court mandated to a batterers' treatment program due to intimate partner violence. I have also worked with victims of intimate partner abuse. I have seen great results and real change in the attitudes and behaviors of those who completed group.

In 2009, I completed a training program in sex addiction (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist - CSAT) with Dr.Patrick Carnes, renowned pioneer and prolific author in the treatment of sex addiction, at the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). I have also completed training with Pia Mellody in Love Addiction.

I hold professional membership with the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), and the Association of Batterers' Intervention Programs (ABIP).
